Energy Resources of Ukraine, one of the largest private Ukrainian gas traders imported its first billion cubic meters of gas
ERU Trading’s First Billion
In October 2016 ERU Trading celebrated a significant milestone, as the company supplied its first billion cubic meters of natural gas to Ukraine.
ERU Trading began its activities on the Ukrainian gas market in 2015, when started to supply gas purchased from the French company ENGIE. By the end of 2015 ERU Trading imported more than 500 million cubic meters of natural gas to Ukraine, immediately establishing itself as the market leader amongst the private gas traders of the country. In summer 2016 the company started to import “the blue flame gas” from Poland in partnership with the Polish state petroleum company PGNiG.
Yaroslav Mudriy, the Commercial Directorand Managing Partner of ERU commented:
«As of today we have imported more than one billion cubic meters of gas to Ukraine. This is our tangible contribution to the energy independence of Ukraine and to its diversification of gas sources. We managed to succeed and become a world-class trader in such a short time due to our adherence to international business standards, the unique international experience of the ERU team and our competitive market price to our consumers. That’s why serious minded foreign investors trust us. There have been a lot of positive changes in the Ukrainian gas market during the last year. Yet we believe much more decisions should be implemented; primarily we should change the principle of monthly price assessments to the signing of the long-term contracts. We are convinced it will influence positively both end customers and the entire gas market».
Along with the gas imports, ERU Trading exports electrical energy, supplies fuel oil and coal and exports agricultural and other raw materials.
